Srđan Vukčević, Montengrin, was born in 1959, Podgorica, Podgorica Municipality, Montenegro and is based in Paris, France. Since 1981, he has been an independent artist in Montenegro and a member of the Association of Artists of Montenegro, with a special status of a renowned artist. He is a member of the French association of artists La Maison des Artistes based in Paris where he has been living and working as an independent artist since 1990. He has held numerous solo and group exhibitions during his long, rich career, and has also won many professional awards for his work.
Les Grandes Plages is a solo exhibition of Vukčević, currently at the Museum of Modern Art Dubrovnik, running from August 3 to September 27, 2017 [Editor’s note: the works below were uploaded by the Museum to the Artsy site, from which they were sourced]. The Museum of Modern Art Dubrovnik is among the most important museums in Croatia for South East European art of the 20th century. It is located in Palace Banac in Dubrovnik, overlooking the Old Town.
