Moodboard & Musings :: June 2018

Welcome to the first month of summer, lovely June!

And what a month it has been so far.  As you may have noticed, a slight update to the look of the blog, particularly this (the post) page — with a wider margin.  This change provides an alternative to the regular post configuration, which includes a side bar.  It will also allow me to have a bit more fun in the way that I present my posts.  Let me know how you like it.

As some of you may know, I have been posting more regularly on instagram and just this weekend past, have included two new stories — a visit to the Embassy of France in Canada and to the Canada Council Art Bank — both of which were open to the public free of charge as part of Doors Open Ottawa, which permits the public to visit buildings and establishments that would normally be restricted, or involve a fee.

Last month, I had planned to focus on my photography.  And although I didn’t get as much accomplished as I would have liked, I did have an opportunity to practice more and will have some photographs to share soon.

As mentioned last month, have been focusing on skincare products and decided to finally subscribed to a beauty box, but no ordinary box. In Canada, it is difficult to find a retailer that caters to the most envied and clean (green or natural) products.  This is where The Detox Market comes in.  My May beauty box came within days of ordering, and I received a full size Vitamin C Moisturizing Facial Serum, and a Vitamin C Body Oil by One Love Organics.  As you may be aware, vitamin C is required to produce collagen for healthy skin and is integral to skin structure; is an antioxidant – necessary to fight off free radicals and can help prevent the DNA in our skin from reacting with sunlight and causing discolouration or even precancerous cells! The serum is highly recommended; it went on well and my skin looked amazing.  I have only used the body oil once, on not quite damp skin as recommended, so definitely will do this next time.  The smell is heavenly.  Other  skincare products (from Chanel) were purchased and I will be featuring these as a “beauty haul” on my instagram stories this week!

My primary intention for this month is to get a routine with respect to daily instagram posts, stories and focus on more blog posts!

Hope you have a beautiful month ahead, xoxo
