When I return to London, this is a restaurant I will certainly plan to dine at. A bit of background information, as written by Chic Déco in March 2015: Australian popular chef Skye Gyngell and her business partner Marie Jackson opened last autumn the Spring Restaurant in the new wing of the iconic Somerset House, in the arts and cultural heart of London. Its beautiful and elegant interiors were designed by architecture practise Stuart Forbes Associates in collaboration with Gyngell’s sister Briony Fitzgerald. One of the most beautiful pieces of this interior decor are the 5000 porcelain petals that adorn the pastel walls, an art piece by Brazilian artist Valeria Nascimento. Cloud chandeliers hang up from the ceiling of the architectural dining-room. The atrium garden, called The Salon, provides a relaxed setting in which to enjoy a drink, an ice cream or a classic layered espresso and chocolate drink from Turin.
