Toxic Beauty is an award winning Canadian-made documentary feature film about the lack of unregulated chemicals and toxins found in cosmetics and care products and the plight of certain women who are fighting for justice and their lives. I implore you to watch the documentary (see trailer, here) and to determine for yourself just how inhumane big cosmetic industries are treating their clients when their brand identity is being challenged. What a bizarre world we live in. To have so many (unnecessary) areas of our lives so heavily regulated, but not when it comes to what we put on our faces and bodies, is just insane. The film can be rented or streamed on Amazon Prime, iTunes and CBC Gem.
While I am not a scientist, journalist or an activist, as a woman, mother and grandmother, I do believe that everyone should have the peace of mind knowing what we put on and into our bodies is safe and that corporations and those who run them, who knowingly cause us harm, should be stopped and heavily punished.
