* New York City was everything and more …

… leisure walks along the avenues of Madison and Fifth, reading the New York Times in the comfy bed of our wonderful hotel, finding quaint restaurants and strolling in Central Park with a coffee and an almond croissant in hand one early morning were those “of the moment” highlights that I will always cherish …

… while visiting the more popular tourist sights, such as the Statue of Liberty, Times Square and the Empire State Building were interesting and appreciated, unfortunately the long line ups diminished their impression on us…

… rather, immensely enjoyed historical landmarks like Grand Central Station, the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the New York Public Library and wished that more time was spent at each…

… of course, there was shopping to be had, but in all, proudly restrained myself and only purchased a beautiful candle and rose lip balm at Barneys…

… I found New Yorkers to be warm and friendly, the city to be intoxicating in culture and architecture and the lifestyle worthy of emulating {loved that at every turn there was someone out for a run, or walking their dog or simply chatting away on their smart phone via microphones from their ear piece while walking to their next destination} …

… although we experienced a lot in our short time in New York City {even a brief visit to Soho}, of course, there is still so much more that was left undiscovered, therefore our fond, fond memories will have to sustain us until next time…  I ♡ NYC, xo
